3 Must-Haves to Pack for Vacation

Who doesn’t love traveling? Whether you prefer an exciting adventure, or a relaxing getaway, the end goal is always to get your money’s worth. The key to a successful vacation is simple: packing the right things. Nothing is worse than finally getting to your dream destination and realizing you forgot an essential. Here is must-have checklist to ensure that you have the trip of a lifetime!

1. The right clothing
Heres an obvious one. It’s misconception to say that packing light is the answer to a successful vacation. Packing smart, however, is the way to go. Prepare your outfits in advance, so the frantic search for a good outfit isn’t an issue on your trip. Prepare for every possibility with a combination of both casual and dressier attire. Planning your activities will determine how many of each outfit you will need to bring. Preparing your outfits in advance will ensure you less stress throughout the trip, as well as less random clothing being thrown into your suitcase at the last minute “just in case” you need it, taking up space that is not needed. This goes for shoes as well. Pack neutral shoes that go with most of your outfits, so that you can pack lighter, because sometimes packing too many pairs of shoes can take up too much room in our luggage.

2. The perfect travel bag
Having the perfect travel bag for your vacation is important. Something accessible, light, comfortable, and efficient will be the key to success. Nothing is worse than lugging around a heavy, cluttered mess of a bag, or one that doesn't hold enough when walking around. Bring a carry-on that will hold your passport, cell phone, headphones, snacks, chargers, laptop, etc, that is easily accessible and also comfortable. Chances are you will be lugging this bag around everywhere you go, so make sure its one that wont be giving you neck pain by the end of the day.

3. Toiletries
Better safe than sorry when it comes to toiletries. Pack for any possibility because there is nothing worse than realizing you forgot an essential toiletry and having to take time out of your trip to go purchase it. This includes things such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, deodorant, makeup, etc. The simple every day items are sometimes the things we often forget to pack! A trick I like to use is going through my nightly routine in my head when packing so that I easily remember each item I use and remember to pack it.
